Mission Statement:

The National Association for the Alliance and Equity of Persons of Colour and the Global Majority is a Civil Rights' organization with a mission to tackle racism, inequality and disproportionality and advance justice for persons from Afro-ancestry, Afro-Asian ancestry and our broader Global Majority sisters and brothers through initiatives and collaboration within our diaspora and with Allies.

We are not the NAACP nor affiliated to the NAACP but bound in the origins of its mission to "ensure the political, educational, social, and economic equality of rights of all persons and to eliminate race-based discrimination". Our mission also focuses on the elimination of discrimination based on all our protected characteristics as well as our vulnerabilities and precarious positions in power-based situations including employment and in our interaction with other services including Housing, Social Care, Health and other statutory agencies, as well as private enterprises.

 

We are committed to continuing the work of our ancestry, and to work closely with individuals, communities, businesses, allies and statutory bodies to understand needs and identify solutions, changes and reform that bring equality, equity, stability, empowerment and opportunities.  We believe in working with our diaspora and wider community and in empowering individuals to attain equality, equity, stability, development, professional and personal growth that brings independence and resilience, and collaboratively delivering advocacy, campaigning, education and service to rebalance the longstanding oppression and inequalities we have endured.
